A generative collection descending from Venezuela's own masters of light and motion. Every piece is unique. Every mint sends funds to relief on the ground.
A magnitude 7.2 foreshock, then a 7.5 mainshock, hit north-central Venezuela within thirty-nine seconds of each other. It was the strongest earthquake the country has recorded in more than a century.
The epicenter sat near Yaracuy state, and the coast bore the worst of it. In Caraballeda, Macuto, Naiguatá, La Guaira, and Catia la Mar, more than half of all buildings show a high probability of damage. Caracas shook hard.
The missing figure above reflects people families and citizen groups have not yet reached, heavily distorted by collapsed phone and internet networks. It is not a confirmed casualty count, and the true number remains uncertain.
Maiquetía airport and the port of La Guaira, the two gateways for international aid into the capital region, were both damaged in the quake. Getting help in has become part of the emergency itself. For now, funds sent to vetted organizations reach people faster than anything shipped.

Kinetic art was made to be felt in motion, color and line shifting as you move past the work. Cinética chases that same sensation in code. Each piece is drawn live in your browser, the bands and nets and vibrations animating the way the originals seem to when you walk by them. The mint hash sets everything, the masters in play, the palette, the composition, the optical event, so the artwork is generated from your transaction and belongs only to you. It is a small act of preservation: Venezuela's kinetic heritage, kept alive in a new medium.
Venezuela gave the world some of its greatest artists of light and motion. This collection stands on that legacy, composed in their language by JN Silva, and turns it toward Venezuelans in their hardest hour.
Cruz-Díez built color that changes as you move, narrow bands placed side by side so the eye mixes a third hue that exists nowhere on the surface. Soto set fine lines and floating rods over a striped ground until the whole field seemed to vibrate and lose its edges. Gego wove open metal nets that drew space itself, line and shadow standing in for mass. Each piece here speaks in their vocabulary.
Color carries the most weight in kinetic art, so every palette earns its place. Tricolor leads, the flag rendered as light. The others give it range: Cruz-Díez's own working pigments, the ink-black of Tinta, the turquoise of the Caribe coast, the magenta of the orchid that is Venezuela's national flower, and the deep greens of Canaima.
The composition is the Silva hand, and it is fractal. Out of a fascination with fractal patterns, the work is laid out by self-similar subdivision, golden proportions nesting cells within cells, so structure recurs at every scale the way it does in nature. That recursion is the signature, the quiet logic arranging three masters into one composition. And it never sits still: light and color drift slowly across the surface, so the piece shifts as you watch, the way a kinetic work changes as you walk past it.
